Hello 2015

**So I obviously wrote this post a few weeks ago and swear I published it, but apparently it didn't... It's a little late now, but we had so much fun this day I still wanted to share!

On New Year's Day we decided to spend some family time together getting away from the household chores and out into the sunshine!  We all got up a little late, including Logan who slept till 10!!  (he loves to sleep).  So we decided to just go down to Edmonds and walk on the ferry and have lunch in Kingston.

The weather was so nice!  Chilly but very sunny... great way to start the new year :).  We walked a little on the beach while we waited for the ferry.

This was the second time Logan had been on the ferry, but the first time he actually enjoyed it!  He was so amazed that we were on the water.  He kept looking out the window pointing down!

The best part was getting to run around the boat!

We were able to get a picture of all of us :)

So crazy how quickly he's grown... here he is almost 1 year ago on the ferry...

and here he is today on the ferry...

We went and had lunch at the Main Street Ale House, great burgers, salads and mac & cheese!  We took a little walk by the boats and caught the next ferry.  We had a tired, but very content little boy on the ride home.

And I was able to get some great sunset shots from the water!

Mt Rainier was super clear too!

 From sunset on NYE

to sunset on New Year's Day

Great start to 2015

First haircut

Last Sunday Logan got his first haircut. I held out for a long time because I just couldn't imagine cutting the curls he had in the back :(. But eventually the shaggy situation was more than even I could handle.

We found a place close that had fun vehicles to sit in and was very kid friendly.

Here's the hair prior to the cut.

He got to sit in the car which was very fitting considering his current love for cars.

She had a bucket of toys he could play with while she cut.

He did a very good job of sitting there while she worked. He only looked in the mirror confused a couple times, like why is this lady messing with my head!

Curls gone... :(

He looks like such a big boy now!

16 Months

At 16 months Logan:
~is about 22 pounds (give or take)
~still wears 12 month pants but can wear 18-24 month tops (skinny little waist)
~wears size 6.5 shoe
~is SO active!
~he doesn't walk, he runs all over
~loves to place chase with Dakota and Dad
~has learned to jump, and if he's not running he's jumping
~FINALLY says MAMA (good lord!)
~still loves all things dog
~actually, loves all animals
~makes cow, elephant, cat, monkey and dog (panting) sounds
~plays with cars and trucks and makes car rumbling noises
~shakes his head no, although we think it's more of an action than actually meaning no
~left all the Christmas decorations alone all month except one tree ornament that we let him play with
~says "nana" for banana
~needs to see the tractor every time we go to central market, then points out all the fruits and veggies he wants (mainly- banana, avocado, tomatoes)
~will pretty much eat anything although he still has his moments
~loves to read
~loves his blankie and thumb
~goes to reading time at the library
~isn't quite sure about large groups of loud children- prefers dogs to people... I mean who wouldn't?
~he knows what you are asking or telling him to do... whether he wants to or not is another story
~definitely harder to get him to sit still for pictures :)
~his smile and laugh still lights up a room!
