5 Months and hiking

Yesterday Logan turned 5 Months old!!!  

At 5 Months:

~he loves to blow bubbles and make "razz"sounds

~he has started to help with the bottle and can pretty much hold it up

~he grabs for toys and loves his rings and blankies

~he has become a Seahawks fan :)

~he can move himself around on the floor, usually just spinning about 180 degrees over time

~he tried rice cereal for the first time, but we might hold off on more till 6 months

~he babbles and smiles and even sometimes laughs

~he seems to study new things

~he is just starting to get into 9 month clothes

~he has been known to sleep through the night… sometimes…when he wants to 

~he goes on lots of walks with both grandparents during the week

It was such a beautiful day here yesterday that we decided to go on a hike!  It was Logan's first hike and first time in the backpack.  Both Logan and Kendall did great… I don't know how he was able to get up the trail with that heavy pack on!

Logan did get pretty tired towards the end of the hike… all that work really got to him :) 

The views were beautiful and it was so nice to have a sunny, warmish January weekend

First Cereal Bites

Over the weekend we gave Logan his first taste of rice cereal.  He's still on the slightly young side for this but sucks his bottles dry almost every time so we thought we would start introducing the spoon and cereal.

He definitely thought it was interesting.  He really wanted to grab the spoon and put it in his mouth... once the cereal was in there he was a little surprised :) 

There was no food spraying or major spitting, thankfully!  But he kinda just let most of it drool back out into his bib

I'm sure with more practice he will figure out the swallowing and get at least some of it down :)

LOGAN WAS BORN!!!

Logan had his first christmas

So far in 2014….

We've had to send Tom back to Germany :(  but we will hopefully see him soonish!

We spent New Year's Eve with Tom and Kevin

My family friends Julie Blue and Jo came to visit Logan

I've gone back to work and Logan gets to go to his grandparents (which we are so thankful for!).  He gets lots of play time, dog time and even some outings.  He went on his first trip to Pike Place Market with my parents and brothers and to the mall :) 

We are working on adjusting to new early morning schedules

Logan LOVES watching all his dogs chew bones… 

Logan and Kendall watched the Seahawks win on saturday!!! 

So far 2014 has us all a little tuckered out but we can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds!
