Sunny Northern Cal Vacation!

Last weekend we took a trip down to Monterey, California to visit the Magri's and their new baby boy Ben!  The weather was amazing!  Sunny and warm during the day and cooled off at night so sleeping was possible!  The beach and town was in walking distance from the Magri's house, so we walked everywhere and soaked up the rays!

Logan did great on the plane both ways!  He read up on all the safety and emergency forms and flirted with pretty much anybody that would look at him.

This is the view from the deck!  We spent most evenings out here catching up.

Meeting John for the first time :)

On the first day we went to the Aquarium with Nathalia and Ben (John had to work :().  This is one of the most amazing aquariums I have seen!  They had great exhibits and so much to look at for all ages.   Seattle needs to do some major updating on their aquarium!!

Logan was captivated by most of the tanks especially the bright jelly fish (above), the deep sea tank with HUGE fish and the finding Nemo tank with tropical colored fish.

Since we had no highchair John and Nathalia had this fancy thing that just straps to any chair and you buckle them in... wish I had thought of this!

On Saturday the boys went on a run in the morning before meeting up with us for brunch and then went paddle boarding.  Definitely a very active day for Kendall and John :)  Nathalia and I walked around the warf and looked at the sea lions then had a drink at the fancy Monterey hotel while we waited.

Logan checked baby Ben out for a second before deciding that he wasn't that interesting yet... he will be soon though! :) He was such a good baby!  Rarely cried and hung out with us all day.  Can't wait
to see him again :)

Because of all of our outings nap times were short and sometimes non existent so the last night there Nathalia found Paw Patrol on Nick JR and it could possibly be Logan's new favorite show... anything with a bunch of dogs :)

We played a little Monopoly... I clearly have to brush up on my skills since Nathalia literally dominated the game!  It was a lot of fun though!

On Sunday before our flight we went to Carmel to have some breakfast and see the beach.
It was a little windy, but we didn't really mind since it made it not so hot!

and then we had to go... :( It was so nice to see John and Nathalia again and to meet Ben!  I wish we all lived closer so we could see each other more often (Leever's included!!)
We were able to capture one group shot! Not the best picture with the bright sun and wind, but at least we got one!

Already miss you guys!  Thanks for letting us stay and showing us around. :)

Pumpkin Farm

On Saturday we went with Aunt Laura and Uncle Jared to the pumpkin farm!  Laura knew of the perfect place to go out in the country (Carnation, WA) that had tons of pumpkins to cut yourself!  The weather was beautiful... sunny and warm!

The farm was super cute!  There were tons of different pumpkins to choose from, cows to look at and old planes flying overhead.

Logan got to walk around in his new boots... but eventually we switched back to shoes.  The vines and uneven terrain were a bit to much in rain boots (plus it was sunny and warm).

(the sun was super bright and shining in Logan's eyes so it was hard to get a good shot)

We had 2 wagons full of pumpkins...

...and we had to fit that 278 pounds of pumpkins into the Acadia... it was a tight fit, but we got them all home (along with all 4 adults and the baby :))
(they started unloading before I could snap a picture of the full car!)

Happy Fall!

Camping!

Last weekend we packed up and went on our first camping adventure with Logan.  Now, let me be completely upfront; we camped in a trailer not a tent AND had running water with a bathroom.  SO, it was more like "Glamping" (glamour camping).  But, we did cook all our meals outside, Logan played in the dirt and we got to hang out by the fire and roast marshmallows.  We definitely had a good time, although camping with a one year old is a bit more challenging than I had expected and we would have brought some extra gear and scheduled our days a bit different.  All-in-all we all survived and came home with no bumps or bruises... so success in my book!

We went to Lake Wenatchee which is just outside of Leavenworth (eastern side of the Cascade Mountains).  The views were beautiful and the leaves had started changing colors.  We got some great photos!
