Festive Holiday Weekend

Last weekend we saw some amazing lights and baked some pretty tasty cookies!  Since I get to work this coming Saturday (:() we decided to cram a bunch of holiday cheer into two days!

Saturday night we went to the Woodland Park Zoo to see the zoo lights!  They were so pretty and Logan loved seeing all the light displays of animals and covered trees.

It was hard to get a decent picture that showed us and the lights and I failed to turn the flash on.

On Sunday Logan helped me make cookies.  He got to stir in the Chocolate chips and Peppermint chips.

I think he was pretty surprised we were letting him eat what he had poured in... he showed me a peppermint chip a few times before he was positive he could put it in his mouth :)

Once he got permission he was all about the cookie dough!

I thought he would enjoy putting sprinkles on the sugar cookies we made, but instead he just ate half a raw cookie and watched me add sprinkles :)
After all that hard work baking he rested with daddy and enjoyed a cookie... in this picture he had literally shoved an entire half in his mouth...

So nice to enjoy these holiday traditions with our little guy!

Santa and Christmast tree cutting

This weekend Logan got his picture taken with Santa and we cut down our Christmas tree!

Logan did pretty good with Santa.  He wasn't entirely sure what was going on or why he was sitting on someones lap while everyone was trying to make him smile.  But he didn't cry at least so we just got some stoic pictures instead :)

Waiting in line... He did so good with the 30ish minute wait

 Meeting Santa

After Santa we did a little shopping and went to the Pike Place Brewery for some dinner.  This is where Logan got his personality back :)  He was laughing and talking, making faces and being crazy (but in a good way).

crazy hair... kinda looks like a character out of a Dr. Seuss book!

On Saturday we went up to Snohomish (out in the country :)) and cut down our Christmas tree!  Logan walked around for a bit but the terrain was pretty rough and muddy and then it started to pour!
But we found a tree... 9.5 feet tall and about 5 feet wide...

yes, it takes up the entire living room/dining room area!

Three hours and one tree falling experience later the tree had lights and was anchored to the wall for Logan to see!
He thought it was pretty cool to find this after his nap :)

He helped a little with the last of the lights...

Last night Logan was looking at the lights in the windows and started playing Peek-A-Boo with his reflection!  It was so cute :)  of course I totally didn't grab my phone in time to get it on video but he sorta did it again (just not as long)

I was also able to catch him on video cheering for football :) haha no team in particular just a segment on the news

Thanksgiving Weekend!

We had a pretty busy Thanksgiving weekend!  Thanksgiving morning we made breakfast at home and watched the Macy's parade.  We headed made a stop at the Schroff's for some appetizers and drinks before heading to my parents for dinner with Mimi, Marilyn, Bob and Jennifer.

Logan was pretty excited to see the Thomas the Train balloon!

He was saying hi to Uncle Tom here :)

Everyone watching the Seahawks game after dinner

On Saturday we woke up to snow!  Logan wasn't so sure about it... but to his credit we did bundle him up and rush him outside right when he got up (I thought it was going to melt).

He thought Dakota running around was hilarious and was screeching and laughing at her.  I only caught the tail end on video.

Kendall got some of the lights up on Sunday.  The roof was a bit icy so he'll finish the rest this weekend.  Those yak tracks are pretty handy though :)

Logan likes looking at the lights :)

Here are a couple pictures of Logan investigating..the dog bowl and playing pretend with his stuffed dog.

Logan's Photo Shoot!

A couple weeks ago Tanya's fiancĂ© Diego graciously took the time to take some pictures of Logan and the whole family for us!  He was so patient as Logan ran around the beach and pretty much never sat still long enough for a picture!  But, he got a bunch of great photos and we really appreciate his time and skill! :)  I wanted to post some of my favorites :)
